Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate heparin drips as ordered, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Float across multiple units within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, trauma, and more
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Serve as a charge nurse when assigned, taking a patient assignment only as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (must obtain CO license or NLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Prefer prior neuro experience and heparin titration competency
• Ability to float throughout a 60-mile zone and adapt to changing assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and drip titration (especially heparin)
• Knowledge of diverse patient populations: cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, bariatrics, trauma, and more
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
