Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory therapy assessments and treatments for patients across all age ranges, from neonates to geriatrics
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs) and perform EKGs to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Manage and monitor ventilators including PB980, Hamilton C1, and V60 BiPAP for critically ill patients
• Provide emergency respiratory support in the ER and coordinate with inpatient and outpatient care teams
• Deliver patient education and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring compliance with infection control and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active North Dakota Respiratory Therapy License (must be obtained at time of submission)
• CRT or RRT certification (RRT preferred) along with BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; previous travel experience not required but welcomed
• Ability to work independently and handle all age ranges (0-100) in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable with facial hair policy for fit testing (must be able to pass a fit test or remove facial hair if needed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care respiratory therapy and ventilator management
• Proficiency with PB980, Hamilton C1, and V60 BiPAP equipment
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and EKG skills
• Meditech electronic medical record system
• Preferred certifications: PALS and NRP for neonatal and pediatric care
