Location: Lewiston, Maine
Start Date: 06-29-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days including weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to residents with Alzheimer's and dementia on a specialized unit
- Deliver skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to short-term patients recovering from surgeries or illnesses
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care per physician orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement care plans
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with families and healthcare providers
- Float to other units as needed to support resident care
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in Maine or compact state (must be currently active)
- Minimum of 2 years of LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Education
- Associates in Nursing or Graduate of Maine State Board approved LPN course
Knowledge & Skills
- Medical terminology proficiency preferred
- Ability to work well within a team of care providers
- Flexibility to cover 24/7 scheduling and float between units
- Compassionate approach to caring for elderly residents with cognitive and physical challenges
