Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Manage complex patients including those with cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical needs
Perform and demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes during SIMs lab
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team 24/7
Float to mother-baby and labor care (babies only) as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required (will consider busy Level 3)
Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience overall
BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Must pass SIMs lab on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (sterile field competency)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong sterile technique and infection control knowledge
Experience with ventilators (RT-managed) and telemetry (Phillips)
Ability to care for ECMO and cooling patients
Team collaboration and charge nurse experience a plus
