Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled nursing care in the Endoscopy/Procedural Lab for patients undergoing EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS
• Collaborate with physicians, GI techs and the care team to prepare patients and equipment for procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and sedation status before, during and after procedures and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families on procedure preparation and post-procedure care in a clear, compassionate way
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure compliance with unit policies and safety protocols
• Support a positive, team-focused environment by assisting colleagues and contributing to efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Colorado (or compact privilege where applicable)
• Prior GI/endoscopy nursing experience required
• BLS required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred (as listed in the job posting)
• Comfort working in a procedural, non-bedside environment with sedation and monitoring
• Strong patient assessment skills and ability to act calmly under stress
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on familiarity with endoscopic procedures: EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS
• Experience with procedural monitoring and sedation management
• Comfortable using electronic medical record systems (EMR)
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrument handling and procedure room workflow
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask in a procedural environment and support patient safety
