Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with on-call rotations (8-10 shifts per month, 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assisting surgeons, interventional radiologists, and nurse practitioners during procedures
Preparing the operating room table, tools, and equipment prior to surgery
Ensuring sterility and safety is maintained before, during, and after the procedure
Providing emotional support to patients and their family members throughout their hospitalization
Collaborating with the circulating nurse in monitoring vitals, assessing skin integrity, and communicating with family members throughout the perioperative period
Documenting surgical details in the patient's electronic health record (EHR)
Performing postoperative needle, sponge, and instrument counts

Qualifications

Active RN license in New York or compact state
BLS certification required
Previous scrub nurse experience in vascular and cardiac surgery preferred
CNOR certification preferred
Impeccable organization, time management, and critical-thinking skills
