Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 0700 start with variable end times; every 3rd weekend on call and 2 days on call per week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures
Monitor patient vitals and ensure safety during procedures
Administer medications and contrast as directed
Assist physicians with angioplasty, stenting, and other interventions
Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and care
Maintain sterile field and equipment function
Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver top-notch cardiac care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to handle on-call duties

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac catheterization and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficiency with sterile technique and radiation safety
Knowledge of EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Familiarity with vascular access and closure devices
Strong teamwork and patient advocacy skills
