Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on respiratory care and assessments for patients with respiratory insufficiency and complex ventilator needs
• Manage mechanical ventilation including Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators with confidence
• Deliver noninvasive support such as CPAP and BiPAP and titrate settings to patient response
• Perform and interpret ABGs to guide treatment decisions and respiratory interventions
• Administer nebulizer treatments and chest physiotherapy (CPT) to optimize pulmonary function
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in rapid response and collaborate with physicians to deliver timely, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — must have
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications — candidates without these will not be considered
• Experience with mechanical ventilators (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral) and noninvasive ventilation
• Meditech EMR experience preferred by leadership
• Trauma experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Noninvasive ventilation: CPAP and BiPAP setup and monitoring
• Nebulizer therapy, ABG sampling and interpretation, and CPT techniques
• Strong documentation skills in Meditech
• Team player with critical thinking and strong communication skills
