Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies
• Assess, monitor and document patient conditions, communicating changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the facility’s electronic health record
• Promote a safe environment by following infection control and patient safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license (must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS or PALS as required by unit or facility
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (facility will consider experience level during screening)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to perform required clinical duties for an 8-hour shift in an acute care setting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration knowledge and safe practice
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient/family education capabilities
