Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgery in Pre-Op Holding and ASU unit
Assist with Phase 2 recovery for Urology, GYN, and SDS patients
Provide pre-operative care for Surgery, Endo, Cath lab, EP, CT patients
Manage outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
Utilize Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG, Doppler, and bladder scanner equipment
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers to ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Prior preop experience and Meditech EMR experience preferred
Patient-focused mindset with strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech electronic medical records
Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing system
Skilled in EKG interpretation and use of GE MACVU machine
Knowledge of pre-operative and phase 2 recovery procedures
Ability to perform patient assessments and use bladder scanner and Doppler
