Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to ICU and PCU overflow patients in a 10-bed unit
Manage ventilators and perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring to support critically ill patients
Administer critical care medications including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
Assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertions and intubations
Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless patient handoffs and bedside shift reports
Float to other units as needed while maintaining excellent clinical standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience in a large facility
Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and central line care
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work collaboratively

Knowledge & Skills

Medical ICU experience in a large facility
Hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
Critical care pharmacology including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and central line management
Cerner documentation system
Bedside shift reporting and nurse leader rounding
