Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with weekend rotation (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Place patients into appropriate units at assigned hospitals using critical thinking and collaboration with charge nurses and leadership
Manage bed requests via TeleTracking and Cerner, ensuring optimal patient placement
Utilize multiple computer screens and applications, including Google Chat, to coordinate with ED, leadership, and other departments
Communicate with charge or leadership when bed requests are not appropriate for the patient's condition
Work independently with zero hands-on patient care, strictly focusing on bed placement

Qualifications

Must have recent acute care experience (2 years preferred)
Must be a licensed RN, LVN, or CNA
Must have experience with TeleTracking and Cerner
Must be strong in computers, including Zoom and Google applications
Must be able to multitask and have excellent customer service skills
Must know the difference between hospital units and departments (e.g., MedSurg vs. Tele)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient placement and bed management
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Acute care experience
Proficiency with TeleTracking and Cerner
Computer literacy with Google apps and Zoom
Multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service and communication skills
