Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to orthopedic patients
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery plans
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital protocols
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of recent ortho or med-surg experience preferred
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficient in IV therapy, wound care, and patient monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
