Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts with start times at 6:30 AM, 3:00 PM, and 11:30 PM; 4 weekend shifts required in an 8-week period

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to a neuro-focused patient population
Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout their journey
Manage IV therapy, wound care, and other acute medical-surgical needs
Maintain a safe, low-stimulation environment for patients recovering from TBI, stroke, and brain tumor resections

Qualifications

Active RN license with strong MedSurg experience required
BLS certification required
Rehab experience preferred
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
Comfortable with high-level communication and partnership of care with patients and families

Knowledge & Skills

Cerner EMR experience
Strong sterile field technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ability to float to any MedSurg unit as needed
Understanding of neuro-specific care including TBI, CVA, and transplant recovery
