Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care to neuro patients in a 32-bed Level 1 Trauma ICU
Perform advanced neuro assessments and ICP monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage complex cases including craniotomies, brain tumor removals, and spine surgeries
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at the renowned Barrow Neurological Institute
Float between ICU and Telemetry units while maintaining exceptional care standards
Support patients through life-changing neurological procedures and recovery journeys

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of ICU experience in a large facility (450+ beds)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 Trauma experience and EVD skills are essential
Minimum 3-6 months of travel nursing experience preferred
Strong neuro assessment and ICP monitoring expertise

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced neurological assessment techniques
ICP monitoring and EVD management
Cerner EMR proficiency
Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ventilator management and Phillips monitoring systems
Floating comfortably between ICU and Telemetry units
