Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities in Ulysses, Dodge City, and Garden City as needed
Monitor and manage adult-geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses from post-surgical care to stable long-term placement
Titrate Heparin drips and respond to changing patient acuity levels
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while delivering excellent outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Neuro experience preferred
Alaris pump and EPIC experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills across telemetry and medical-surgical patients
Ability to float between ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units within skill level
Comfortable reading cardiac strips and working with monitor technicians
Flexible and reliable with changing assignments and schedules
