Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse adult-geriatric population on MS/Tele units
• Monitor telemetry and titrate heparin drips as needed
• Float across multiple specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, ortho, and more
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient ratios (1:5-6)
• Adapt quickly to different facility environments within a 60-mile zone
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to float within Zone 1 covering five facilities in Colorado Springs area
• Comfort with titration of heparin and caring for neuro patients preferred
• Flexibility to work weekends (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Experience with cardiac, neuro, oncology, and post-surgical patient populations
• Proficiency in IV therapy, wound care, and patient education
• Excellent communication and adaptability for floating between units
