Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with behavioral health needs
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with secondary mental health diagnoses
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and ensure seamless hand-offs
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg units as needed to support hospital-wide care
Uphold strict infection-control and sterile-field standards during procedures

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and complete SIMs Lab skills on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cerner electronic medical record proficiency
Cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Safe medication administration and sterile technique
De-escalation and behavioral health awareness
Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
