Location: Baudette, Minnesota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, adapting quickly to patient needs
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent communication with the care team
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision and safety
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently during codes and trauma situations
Float between MedSurg and Emergency Department to support the entire facility as needed
Read and interpret cardiac strips independently while documenting thoroughly on Mindray monitors
Collaborate directly with hospitalists and work independently with minimal staffing support

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Med/Surg experience is a plus
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Meditech EMR documentation
Experience with Hamilton T1 ventilator, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to respond to cardiac, stroke, and sepsis codes
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and flight transport coordination
