Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
Assess patients, monitor vitals and intervene promptly to maintain stability
Administer medications and IV therapies safely and document accurately
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and follow individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans to support recovery
Maintain accurate, timely charting and adhere to facility policies and standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license
Experience in medical-surgical (Med/Surg) nursing – confidence with med/surg patient populations
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and maintain clinical excellence during long shifts
Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Active RN license in New Hampshire

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and patient assessment
Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy and wound care
Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and clinical reporting
Ability to triage, prioritize and escalate concerns appropriately
Customer-focused approach to patient and family education
