Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a Med/Surg unit
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to the care team
Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize outcomes
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and unit-based best practices

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and time management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to changing patient needs

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy
Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Infection control, patient safety, and falls prevention
Clear communication and patient education skills
Teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude under pressure
