Location: Arcata, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour night shifts per week (specific days vary)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg population
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications and treatments
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to create care plans
Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards
Respond to emergencies and changes in patient status with confidence

Qualifications

Active California RN license in good standing
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg experience
Negative TB screen within 12 months of start date

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Knowledge of med-surg nursing standards and best practices
