Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients with conditions such as CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, and post-operative cases.
Monitor and manage patients on telemetry, including titrating drips like Heparin and Bumex as needed.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs and charge nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Float to other departments as a 'helping hand' or fully cross-train if desired.
Participate in orientation and ongoing education to maintain skills.

Qualifications

Active RN license (Oregon license or eligible for OR 90-day Emergency License)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in general medical-surgical nursing
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpreting strips
Experience with common medications including heparin and bumex
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
