Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse MedSurg/Tele population including joint replacements, fractures, and post-surgical patients
Manage multiple admissions and discharges daily while maintaining excellent hourly rounding and responsiveness
Titrate Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine drips safely and effectively
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver top-quality care across 55 beds
Float to other medical-surgical units as needed to support hospital-wide patient flow
Champion a culture of teamwork, punctuality, and genuine care for patients of all backgrounds

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Strong telemetry awareness and ability to interpret basic rhythms
Minimum one year of recent MedSurg or Ortho experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and basic rhythm interpretation
Safe titration of Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine drips
PCA pump management
Hourly rounding and proactive patient responsiveness
Cultural sensitivity when caring for diverse patient populations
Strong organizational skills to juggle admissions, discharges, and daily operations
