Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse MedSurg/Ortho/Telemetry population
Manage 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Titrate Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine drips and monitor PCA pumps with precision
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure seamless unit operations
Perform hourly rounding and maintain responsiveness to patient needs
Coordinate admissions, discharges, and care transitions in a fast-paced environment
Serve patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds with respect and understanding

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

MedSurg, Ortho, and Telemetry nursing expertise
Joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD, sepsis, and ortho trauma care
Titration of Heparin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine drips
PCA pump management and monitoring
Hourly rounding and patient responsiveness best practices
Cultural sensitivity when caring for diverse patient populations
