Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to medical-surgical patients in a 46-bed unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG changes for cardiac patients
Manage post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) patients with expertise
Administer CPap therapy and manage port access
Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and unit clerks
Float to 3 South or PCU as needed for telemetry overflow
Utilize Meditech Expanse for accurate documentation
Maintain patient safety and quality care following hospital protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing (compact license preferred)
Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Current NIH certification (must be certified annually)
Telemetry experience required
Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience required

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation
CPap management
Port access
Chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, and drains
Post-dialysis assessment skills
Central lines and blood transfusions
Proficient in Meditech Expanse documentation
Strong interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
