Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for side effects
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of New Mexico (or compact license)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RNs
• Practical Nursing diploma for LPNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety regulations
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and team members
• Time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
