Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days and nights, including every 3rd weekend; block scheduling available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs to ensure safety
Administer medications and manage IV drips including Pitocin and insulin
Educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with a supportive team in a 4-bed LDRP unit

Qualifications

Current RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and delivery nursing expertise
Fetal monitoring and interpretation
IV therapy and medication administration
Strong communication and patient education skills
Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
