Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across antepartum, labor, triage, postpartum, and newborn stages
Monitor and manage common drips including Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics
Collaborate with the charge nurse to ensure safe patient ratios of 1:2
Support a small, close-knit unit with 100-125 births per year
Assist with floating tasks in MedSurg when needed to support the broader care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or related specialty
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for LDRP patients
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps
Ability to work collaboratively in a 4-bed unit environment
Comfortable with rotating weekend coverage every third weekend
