Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Circulate during C-sections and support the surgical team in our modern suites
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes in patient condition
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU units to support growing families across the care continuum
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and on-call specialists to ensure seamless patient experiences
Educate and comfort families through high-risk deliveries and unique situations with cultural sensitivity

Qualifications

Active California RN license required
2-3 years of recent L&D/PP nursing experience
Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
Fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN intermediate or advanced)
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Ability to circulate C-sections and float between units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and response skills
Comfortable with Cerner EMR and FetalLink systems
Experience caring for high-risk deliveries and diverse patient populations
Excellent communication and teamwork across L&D, postpartum, and NICU settings
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and optional call shifts
