Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, day or night, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, and nursery patients
Independently manage all aspects of patient care in a low-risk setting
Titrate medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin drips
Collaborate with a small team, serving as backup for other nurses
Float to other units as needed to support the hospital
Maintain fetal monitoring and maternal cardiac telemetry surveillance

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license (or ability to obtain 90-day emergency license)
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Experience in L&D, postpartum, and routine/intermediate nursery
Strong independent decision-making skills
Ability to handle fluctuating patient volumes and multitask effectively

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring (FE Centriciy Perinatal system)
Experience with Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and insulin drip titration
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Comfortable working with bubble CPAP and ventilators for stabilization/transfer
