Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating; every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
Circulate during cesarean sections in the OR
Perform newborn assessments and routine baby care
Titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain medications
Collaborate with a dynamic team of OBs, residents, anesthesiologists, and techs
Float to postpartum and occasionally serve as a patient sitter

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Ability to circulate in the OR
Competency in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
Valid driver's license to verify residency (50-mile radius rule)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in Labor & Delivery nursing and OB care
Proficiency in OR circulating for C-sections
Skilled in newborn assessment and infant care
Experience titrating high-risk OB drips
Strong teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude
