Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; includes every third weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Circulate in the OR during C-sections, ensuring patient safety and sterile field
Provide expert care to laboring mothers, including monitoring and titrating Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
Perform thorough newborn assessments and routine baby care
Float to postpartum unit to care for both mom and baby as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, CRNAs, and OBTs
Triage patients with pregnancy complaints over 20 weeks gestation

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience with OR circulating competency
Driver's license required for radius rule verification
Must be willing to float to postpartum and occasionally as a sitter

Knowledge & Skills

Strong OR circulating skills for C-sections
Proficiency in newborn assessment and routine baby care
Experience with high-risk OB and routine obstetric care
Ability to titrate drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
Knowledge of EFM systems (Obix preferred)
Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
