Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care to expecting mothers
Monitor and titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Deliver exceptional postpartum and antepartum nursing support
Care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions like hypertension and diabetes
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe deliveries and recoveries
Maintain the highest standards of patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong clinical skills in titration of drips and obstetric care
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submittal
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and delivery expertise with antepartum and postpartum care
Experience with AWHONN staffing guidelines and patient ratios
Comfortable managing patients with high blood pressure or diabetes in pregnancy
Skilled in monitoring and adjusting medication drips
Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities
