Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a LDRP unit, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding to changes promptly
Assist with inductions, C-sections, and other OB procedures
Educate new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
Collaborate with an experienced team of nurses and physicians to ensure safe, compassionate care
Perform newborn assessments, transition care, and NICU support as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience
BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring training required
Experience with shoulder dystocia and PP hemorrhage preferred
Ability to float to NICU if cross-trained

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and interventions
Knowledge of induction agents like Pitocin and Cervidil
Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and newborn assessment
Comfortable with intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum/forceps deliveries
Effective communication and teamwork skills
