Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend, 48 hours per week

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU, managing trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker, stroke, vascular, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress patients
Titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as ordered
Interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilator patients
Collaborate with nursing aides and healthcare support techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license (required for submittal)
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Willingness to adhere to facility policies, including no artificial nails

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ICU patient care, including titration of cardiac and sedation drips
Strong telemetry interpretation and ventilator management skills
Excellent critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and teamwork skills
