Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, rotating every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse ICU patient population including trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate IV drips including cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications with precision
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms using GE monitors
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license (required at submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing and critical care
Proficient in titrating IV drips and managing complex medications
Skilled in telemetry interpretation and GE monitor use
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Strong communication and teamwork skills
