Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend including Saturday and Sunday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, overdose, sepsis, and stroke cases
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, sedation, and other critical medications
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurse aides, respiratory therapists, and physicians
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Ability to pass open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing, including ventilation management and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficient in titration of vasoactive and sedative drips
Strong telemetry reading and interpretation skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
