Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days/nights, including weekends as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a dynamic ICU float pool setting across multiple facilities in Zone 3
Manage and titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, and more
Perform ventilator management, patient assessment, and telemetry interpretation without monitor tech support
Float to various acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and adapt to rapidly changing assignments under Just-In-Time scheduling

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (3+ years for first-time travelers)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Prior travel experience preferred but not required
Must be comfortable floating across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius of Denver city center

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care and ICU nursing
Proficient in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
Experience with CRRT, IABP, and Impella preferred
Epic electronic health record experience preferred
Strong assessment and titration skills for critical drips
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, floating assignments
