Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to trauma, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients
Titrate complex medication drips including vasopressors, sedatives, and cardiac medications
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to patient changes
Collaborate with intensivists and respiratory therapists for optimal patient outcomes
Float between surgical, medical, and cardiac ICUs as unit needs arise
Deliver compassionate care to Level 1 trauma patients from admission through recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience with at least 2 years in ICU
Experience with neuro or CVICU patient populations preferred
Strong drip titration and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
Ability to pass UNA Dysrhythmia Exam and Sim Lab on Day 1

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with trauma and neuro experience
Drip titration including Propofol, Levophed, Vasopressin, and Insulin
Dysrhythmia interpretation and GE monitor proficiency
Ventilator management with Draeger, Hamilton, and Puritan Bennett equipment
Floating to telemetry units with 1:3 or 1:4 ratios
Self-scheduling and adaptability to unit needs
