Roles & Responsibilities

• Float between MedSurg Telemetry and PCU units, providing exceptional patient care
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients, including those recovering from cardiac catheterizations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and communication
• Respond to cardiac emergencies with ACLS protocols and critical thinking
• Adapt quickly to varying unit demands and patient acuity levels

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience in MedSurg Telemetry and PCU
• Active and unrestricted RN license in a compact state (Rhode Island is compact)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must have from prior positions)
• EPIC experience required
• Cardiac experience including care of post-cath patients
• Willingness to float between units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac assessment and telemetry interpretation skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of PCU level care and cardiac catheterization recovery
