Location: Rockford, IL

Start Date: 06-01-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Step-Down units
Administer medications and treatments following approved protocols and state regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans
Accurately document patient progress and care according to standards
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience

Qualifications

Current Illinois RN license (must be active)
Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU and Cardiac nursing
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Willingness to float to Med-Surg units when needed
Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in nursing process and medication administration
Excellent documentation and critical thinking abilities
Experience with cardiac and stroke patient care
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
