Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of acute conditions – from abdominal pain to trauma
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage drips with confidence
• Float between multiple ER locations within Zone 4 (Garden City, Dodge City, Ulysses) – each day brings a new challenge
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and techs to deliver seamless patient care
• Interpret telemetry strips and perform point-of-care lab testing
• Maintain a calm, efficient environment in fast-paced, high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable floating to multiple facilities within a 60-mile zone
• Strong critical thinking and ability to adapt quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing including trauma, stroke, and STEMI recognition
• Proficiency in starting IVs, administering IV medications, and managing drips
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume ER
• Telemetry interpretation and point-of-care testing skills
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
