Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, including every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across multiple facilities within Zone 4
Triage patients, assess conditions, and prioritize care based on acuity
Administer medications, start IVs, and perform point-of-care testing
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage acute conditions such as trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies
Float to different emergency rooms within the 60-mile zone as needed
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately
Educate patients and families on discharge plans and follow-up care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius zone across multiple facilities
Telemetry interpretation skills required
Strong flexibility and adaptability to different hospital environments

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Point-of-care testing and laboratory procedures
Emergency nursing skills including trauma, stroke, and cardiac care
Ability to adapt quickly to varying hospital policies and workflows
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
