Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, medical, and pediatric patients.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to stabilize critically ill patients.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced cardiac life support as needed.
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed (16 minutes apart).
Precept new staff when assigned.
Triage and manage patients in fast-track vertical care area.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a Level III trauma center or similar volume setting.
Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before starting assignment.
Ability to float between campuses and work every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management.
Experience with chest tubes, rapid transfusions, and intubated patients.
Familiarity with PulseCheck or Picis EMR.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
