Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly to prioritize care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and advanced interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver timely treatment plans
• Respond to emergencies and critical events with calm, evidence-based action
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions with compassion
• Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement initiatives within the ED

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in New Hampshire or eligibility for reciprocal/compact licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior Emergency Department nursing experience is highly valued
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — ADN required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in emergency nursing assessments and triage
• Skilled with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Familiarity with ED workflows, fast-paced decision making, and crisis management
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting accurately
• Strong prioritization, multitasking, and teamwork abilities
