Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to high-acuity CTICU/CVICU patients including post-cardiac surgery, ECMO, IABP, CRRT, and lung transplant recovery
• Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, Swan-Ganz insertions, and epidural management
• Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions, passing SIMs lab competencies
• Monitor telemetry via Philips system and interpret dysrhythmias to intervene promptly
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy to deliver comprehensive care
• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring seamless patient care across departments

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience, with strong Level I trauma background
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam within 2 attempts
• Proven competence in sterile field technique, central line dressing changes, and Foley catheter insertion
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within 50-mile radius

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR and Philips telemetry monitoring
• Strong IV insertion and management skills
• Experience with IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and ventilators
• Ability to handle 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for floating between units
