Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends required, schedule released 4-6 weeks in advance, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as Charge Nurse in a dynamic ICU Float Pool, covering multiple ICUs (MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU)
Respond to codes and rapid responses throughout the hospital, providing critical care expertise
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Manage ventilators and respiratory equipment, collaborating with RT as needed
Float within your zone to sister facilities, ensuring coverage across the Denver region
Interpret telemetry strips and provide expert patient assessment and monitoring

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years if first-time traveler)
Prior Charge Nurse experience required
Prior travel experience strongly preferred
Comfortable floating to PCU/Stepdown and Med-Surg Tele units as needed
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and commit to weekend and holiday rotations

ICU Nursing Expertise
Charge Nurse Leadership
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Certifications
Titrating Critical Drips (pressors, sedation, etc.)
Ventilator Management
Telemetry Interpretation
Epic EMR Proficiency
Floating and Adaptability
