Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage patients on CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including RT, pharmacy, and SWAT IV specialists
Float to other telemetry units as needed to support patient care across the hospital
Complete required SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit testing

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and telemetry monitoring expertise
Cerner EMR proficiency
Comfort with lung transplant, esophagectomy, and ER overflow patients
Understanding of sterile field techniques for SIMs Lab skills
Team collaboration and adaptability when floating between units
