Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-08-2026

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery timelines
Document patient progress and adjust interventions based on clinical findings
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery expectations
Mentor and support rehabilitation aides in daily patient care activities

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced hospital environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute inpatient physical therapy interventions
Knowledge of post-surgical rehabilitation protocols
Understanding of neurological and orthopedic conditions
Ability to manage diverse patient caseloads efficiently
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
